North Beach Showcased in Discover Wisconsin TV episode

The nation’s longest-running tourism TV Show, Discover Wisconsin, will showcase Racine’s North Beach in an upcoming episode called “We’re Thinking Beaches.”

The program will appear locally on Fox Sports Wisconsin (FSN) and Chicago's Comcast Sportsnet at 10 a.m. Saturday April 19 and on WITI-TV (Channel 6) at 10 a.m. Sunday, April 20.

The episode was produced in partnership with Real Racine, the Wisconsin Coastal Management Program (WCMP) and Discover Wisconsin.
Discover Wisconsin co-hosts Libby Amato, Collin Geraghty and Mariah Haberman explore eight beaches along Wisconsin’s Lake Superior and Lake Michigan coastlines. Dr. Julie Kinzelman of the Racine Health Department explained that North Beach is the only beach on the Great Lakes that can test water quality in real time, which aids in the tourism industry.

The Discover Wisconsin crew also filmed at Stockton Island as well as Big Bay Town Park Beach on Madeline Island, Crescent Beach in Algoma, Egg Harbor Beach in Door County, North and South beaches in Sheboygan, Simmons Island Beach in Kenosha and Wisconsin Point in Superior.
